The history of Africa has been closely interwoven with the entire Atlantic area for centuries. Academic collaborations and projects with an Atlantic research radius therefore require, among other things, a sound knowledge of the African context.
The Center for Atlantic and Global Studies at the Leibniz Universität Hannover has gained a special depth of focus for African perspectives thanks to its long-standing cooperation with the department of African History.
Exhibition Project "Ansichten aus Deutsch-Ostafrika"
„Ansichten aus Deutsch-Ostafrika“ is a German-Tanzanian training research and exhibition project in cooperation with the Niedersächsisches Landesmuseum/ WeltenMuseum Hannover and the College of Humanities at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
This project is currently still in the planning phase.
