What is ForscherGeist e.V.?
ForscherGeist supports students who show that their abilities and interests extend well beyond the school curriculum.
ForscherGeist creates a network of schools, universities and other extracurricular institutions.
ForscherGeist places students in projects run by universities and other extracurricular institutions.
ForscherGeist presents and recognizes achieved results of the young people at the annual ForscherGeist meeting.
The courses at ForscherGeist begin after the fall vacations at the beginning of November. Until then, the time is used for course organization. Our projects take place in the afternoons during the school weeks. During the vacations our projects pause. The schools offer rooms for the courses in the afternoons. Students and parents choose individual courses from the offer on the Internet. It can be found at www.forschergeist-ev.de. Individual reports about the work within the framework of individual offers can also be found there.
The weekly ForscherGeist courses are financed half by parents' contributions and half by sponsors. The participants pay an annual fee of 85, - €.
The next ForscherGeist annual meeting is planned for November 3, 2023, in the auditorium of the Herschel School. Here, the groups will present their projects and those who have produced an award paper will have the chance to win the ForscherGeist Award of the Kurt Alten Foundation 2023. The daughter of the founder, Mrs. Sabine Alten, presents the annual prize herself in most years.
The requirements in detail are included in the project descriptions of our offer on the Internet. The day of the week and time of the project description on the Internet are especially important. They are based on agreement and cannot be changed at will. The project leaders receive a fee, the amount of which is determined in a fee contract with the ForscherGeist management. At the moment the project descriptions are in the phase of creation. The date of validity of all details is yet to be announced.
